The Market Kitchen features a variety of programs for everyone, beginner cooks and experienced epicures: The Celebrity Chef series will give you the opportunity to be "at the dinner table" with some of Canada’s renowned chefs. You’ve seen them on television and dined at their restaurants; now, meet them in person as they share their passion for food with you. Hands-on cooking classes will have you up to your elbows in marinade, cake mixture and other blends of ingredients. The only way to enjoy a meal in these classes is if you cook it yourself. Interactive demonstrations will provide a relaxing learning environment. Sit back and have meals made for you as you enjoy one-on-one interactions with chefs.

Sat July 24	Hands-on Class: Peaches, Peaches, and more Peaches!!!	1-3 p.m. $50
Join us as we celebrate Peaches! Great ideas and recipes using Ontario’s finest seasonal fruit! Grilled peach salad with arugula and pinenuts, grilled peach salsa on salmon fillets, delicious peach desserts and more!
Sat. July 31	Hands-on Chocolate and lots of it	1-4 p.m. $50
Master the art of working with chocolate. Learn to temper chocolate as you create a selection of chocolate desserts, including truffles. The challenge will be to get the desserts home without eating them on the way.

Fri. / Sat. Aug. 6–7	Hands-on Weekend Workshop: Basic Cooking	6-9 p.m. / 12-4 p.m. $50 per day
The introductory class will include knife skills, viniagrette basics, cheese information, produce selection, and a number of cold appetizers and first course ideas. Learn the basics of meats and fish, how to cook, recipe ideas. Learn how to make simple soups, basic sauce tips, and interesting side dishes. Learn how to make easy pastry, sweet soufflés and master some classic sauces, caramel, chocolate ganashe.

The Market Kitchen teaches you how to master the art of working with chocolate. In this hands-on class, learn tempering chocolate, truffle-making, chocolate desserts and more! Lots of take home treats!
Thur. Sept. 23	Date night: Couples in the Kitchen! (Hands-on Class)	6-9 p.m. $50
Join us for the encore of this oh-so-popular class and get you and your loved one cooking together! With a wide array of shops at the St. Lawrence Market from which to buy meats, veggies, specialty items and more, this menu will be amazing. Enjoy a hands-on class and three-course dinner leave the dishes to us!

Learn all about the varieties of this healthy staple. Join us at St. Lawrence Market's famous rice and grain shop, Rube's Rice, for a quick tour. Then we head upstairs to cook up a feast! Bring containers for take-home treats!

Join our international expert chef on a trip to the flavors of Thailand. Fresh flavors and delicious foods you can easily make at home!
